" As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Prov. 27:17
Vision of Victory Pals: As a junior at Broken Arrow High School I was involved in a similar program, in which I was able to impart character into the young lives of elementary students. On Fridays when my teammates and I would arrive to our assigned classes, the students were eagerly awaiting. Although, we were sent to uplift the students, the meetings always uplifted the players as well. My second year teaching/coaching at VCS a freshman boy in my Oklahoma History class was sure he knew me from somewhere. Neither of us could recall until the second week of school. One morning he came in with a smile on his face and said, " I knew I knew you." He then handed me a piece of paper with my autograph on it from my junior year in high school, and told me he was one of the students in the third grade class I visited. Knowing he had kept it and had it pinned on his wall all this time reaffirmed to me the impact athletes can have on student's lives. -Coach Marley
Expectations of Victory Pals: The following assigned players will come to the elementary classes each Friday of away games (9/11, 10/2, 10/15, 10/30). They will arrive to the classroom at 2:45pm and present a short devotion based on our theme of the week. After the devotion we will have time for Q&A, autographs, interaction, and etc.
